Pat Shell Scholarship The Texas Council of Women School Executives Scholarship Committee is pleased to invite applications for the 2014 Pat Shell Scholarship. The scholarship is named in honor of Pat Shell who passed away in 2012 after a long and outstanding career in public education. Pat was an outstanding Texas education leader and mentor to both men and women educators. The scholarship award (up to $1,000) may be used to pay for research, travel, conference fees, and related experiences for professional development activities. Applications are open to any Texas woman superintendent, with preference given to those who are TCWSE members. Annual
Conference Scholarship The Annual Conference Scholarship ($300) is to be awarded to help cover TCWSE 2014 conference expenses to individuals who are pursuing the necessary credentialing for an educational leadership position. To apply for this scholarship, send (1) a cover letter stating your desire to apply for the scholarship; (2) a current vita; (3) a written statement not to exceed two pages addressing "The Role of Women in Educational Leadership"; and (4) a statement of intent to aid TCWSE by presenting at the following year's (2015) conference, submitting an article for TCWSE’s online journal, or speaking at a regional meeting.
